Our pastoral staff is made up of several individuals that come from many different walks of life. God has brought a wonderful group of people together from different parts of Texas, Florida, Arkansas and even Canada to reach a common goal: to help heal the hurting and grow to serve. Led by Pastors Rod & Lezlie Trusty, this staff finds great joy in ministering to the community and dedicating our time and effort to grow this church. 

Lead Pastors

Our head Pastors, Rod & Lezlie, work hard each day to guide our congregation and help raise up the next generation of God-fearing leaders. They do this by instilling New Life's core values into our church family. That is seeing people as Jesus sees them, loving them as they are, and loving them as we are. They love this church and fervently pray for and teach our church family every week. Pastor Rod has coined his famous phrase, "WELL GLORY!" Pastor Lezlie leads our Women of Life ministry.

Executive Pastor

Pastor Bruce and his wife Laura have been long time family members of our church. They are dedicated to Pastor Rod and Lezlie's vision for New Life. You'll find him speaking in the pulpit from time to time. He's the person to find when you feel ready to join New Life as a member. Pastor Bruce oversees our Church Leaders, Growth Track program, connect groups and Serve Teams ministry.

Youth Pastor

Where is Philip? Probably playing ping pong in the youth room... But when he isn't doing that, he is serving as our Youth Pastor! Pastor Philip heads Echo Student Ministries here at New Life with the help of his amazing wife, Kayla. Each week he is working to mentor your middle and high school age students through bible teaching, worship, fellowship and outreach opportunities.

Children's Pastor

Our children's ministry, New Life Kids, is led by the amazing Erin Flewelling! She and her team of caring teachers work diligently to provide a Godly experience of worship and interactive lessons for your kids ranging in age from infant to sixth grade! She also creatively plans some of New Life's biggest family events including our annual Fall Festival and Christmas production.

Senior Adult Pastors

Pastors Elton and Linda pour into our senior adult ministry, otherwise known as Bridge Builders. They are filled with a passion to minister to those that are 55 years old and up! (If you catch them in the halls, ask about game night!) Pastor Elton is also the fearless leader of New Life's bowling league and he's always looking for new players!

Creative Director

New Life wants to reach new souls for the kingdom beyond the walls of the church building. We can do that through the power of social media, advertising and fun content creation. You can find Sade on a Sunday morning with a camera lens in front of her eyes! Through marketing, photography, and content planning, she strives to reach people both in-person and online. She stays busy acting as assistant to the Young Adults Ministry as well an Echo Youth leader. Ask her about joining the creative team!

Executive Assistant

Miss Onella is a deeply appreciated member of our team. Each day she supports the entire pastoral staff using her incredible gifts of organization and planning. She has been part of this church for many years and helps to bridge the connection between the congregation and our team. She greets all with a smile and is always prepared to answer your questions.

Financial Account Manager

Texas native, Jen Shaffer, is the newest member of our staff! Not only is she the manager of the church finances, but she and her family serve in as many areas as needed. She's great with numbers but also has a lovely singing voice. You may spot her on stage on a Sunday morning. Jen can answer your questions regarding tithing and financial contributions.
