Our pastoral staff is made up of several individuals that come from many different walks of life. God has brought a wonderful group of people together from different parts of Texas, Florida, Arkansas and even Canada to reach a common goal:

• Rescue the lost.
• Grow the found. 
• Build legacy. 
• Pursue revival. 

This staff finds great joy in ministering to the community and dedicating our time and effort to grow this church. 

Lead Pastors

New Life is led by Pastor Brandon and Sharayah Smith! Their sweet family have taken the helm of our church and we are so excited to have them! Pastor Brandon grew up in ministry as a Pastor’s kid from Texas. He graduated from Lee University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry. Together, he and Sharayah have 3 wonderful daughters, Liliya, Ella, and Selah, that are the greatest source of joy in their lives.

Executive Pastor

Pastor Bruce and Laura Beam have a deep heritage here in Tyler, both were born and raised here and attended school here locally. They have served in the Ministry since 1987 as Pastor’s, Teachers and Leaders in East and South Texas. Pastor Bruce and Laura have been part of and connected to New Life since 2018 and Pastor Bruce is now serving as Executive Pastor overseeing all phases of ministry and leadership here at New Life. Pastor Bruce and Laura are honored to serve with Pastor Brandon and Sharayah along with the Staff of New Life!

Youth Pastor

Where is Philip? Probably playing ping pong in the youth room... But when he isn't doing that, he is serving as our Youth Pastor! Pastor Philip heads Echo Student Ministries here at New Life with the help of his amazing wife, Kayla. Each week he is working to mentor your middle and high school age students through bible teaching, worship, fellowship and outreach opportunities.

Children's Pastor

Our children's ministry, New Life Kids, is led by the amazing Erin Flewelling! She and her team of caring teachers work diligently to provide a Godly experience of worship and interactive lessons for your kids ranging in age from infant to sixth grade! She also creatively plans some of New Life's biggest family events including our annual Fall Festival and Christmas production.

Creative Director

New Life wants to reach new souls for the kingdom beyond the walls of the church building. We can do that through the power of social media, advertising and fun content creation. You can find Sade on a Sunday morning with a camera lens in front of her eyes! Through marketing, photography, and content planning, she strives to reach people both in-person and online. She stays busy acting as a Young Adults Ministry Leader as well an Echo Youth Leader. Ask her about joining the creative team!

Executive Assistant

Miss Onella is a deeply appreciated member of our team. Each day she supports the entire pastoral staff using her incredible gifts of organization and planning. She has been part of this church for many years and helps to bridge the connection between the congregation and our team. She greets all with a smile and is always prepared to answer your questions.

Finance  Manager

Jen Shaffer, has many gifts! Not only is she the manager of the church finances, but she and her family serve in as many areas as needed. She's great with numbers but also has a lovely singing voice. You may spot her on stage on a Sunday morning. Jen can answer your questions regarding tithing and financial contributions.
